Composer - Wolfgang Amadeus mozart
Duration: 1 lesson
The following games are used for this exercise: the Museum, the composer Mozart and the Quiz at the television studio.
The pupils will achieve the following skills:
"They will become acquainted with the life of the composer Mozart (1756-1791)
"They will become acquainted with the music composed by Mozart
The pupils must get to know Mozart on their own by reading about him and listening to Symphony No. 40 in G minor, composed by Mozart, at the Museum behind his portrait. The pupils must also listen to Mozart talking about this life. The pupils will find Mozart in town near the television studio.
Furthermore, the pupils must read the texts about composers. The texts can be found by clicking on the music stand with all the notes.
In the Quiz, they must answer questions about Mozart. All questions deal with Mozart.
If the pupils have made too many mistakes in the subgames, they can always return to the museum and read about/listen to everything again.
Launch the activity by writing on the blackboard:
"Log on to www.themusicgame.net. Go to the Museum and hear what the custodian has to say".
Instructions for the pupils
The custodian's speech
"Oh, it's you. How nice. For once, I'm not so busy today so I've time to talk. That's good. Do you know Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart? A wonderful man. Don't be sensitive if you talk to him. Or read about him for that matter. We've a portrait of him here at the museum and it's quite amazing what he's been writing in his letters. And all the music he has composed. Oh, listen to me talking. It's much better if you read about him yourself. Click on his painting and go find him in town. I think he's somewhere close to the television studio right now.
When you're there, why don't you participate in the quiz at the television studio. I think the quiz is about Mozart today. Sorry, somebody is looking for me… Read my note on the notice board. Have a nice day. I'll see you - remember to click on the music stand with all the notes. Here, you can read about what makes a composer. See you!
The custodian's note
Read about the composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. You will find the texts by clicking on his painting. Also click on the music stand with all the notes. Here, you can find out what makes a composer.
Go to the Quiz. I am pretty sure that they have a quiz about Mozart today so you will have ample opportunities to earn some money. But do not tell them that you got it from me.
